Tournament:  Our tournament includes an optional practice round and two competition rounds. The practice round is to be played on Monday, 7 June or earlier if it can be scheduled then with the club. You must make your own tee times and pairings if you elect to do the practice round. Greens fees for guests including wives are free for the practice round but men and women must pay cart fees.  Greens fees and cart fees for competition rounds are included in the entry fee.  Tournament play will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 8 and 9. There will be a Ladies tournament -- 9 holes on Tuesday and 9 holes on Wednesday.  Tee gifts will be presented on Tuesday and prizes awarded on Wednesday following play.

Entry Deadline:  Entry fees and Guest information must be received by May 1st to provide time for ordering tee gifts and confirming other administrative details.  Please make your plans accordingly and sign up on the list posted on the bulletin board or advise Gene Witherspoon that you will enter.  The tournament will be limited to 36 teams!

Sign sales and entry costs:  As the budget for the tournament assumes an income of $6,500 ($100 X 65) from the sale of signs, it is imperative that we meet this goal to keep the cost of the entry fees at the projected level.

As an incentive to sell signs, the standard $400 entry fee for each team will be reduced if the Golden Boy entrant (or his guest) sells one or more signs.  A reduction of $50 from the entry fee will granted for sale of one sign.  For every 5 signs sold, $100 will be deducted from the entry fee with full credit for selling 20 signs or more.  Signs sold between numbers that are multiples of 5 will be credited with another $10 reduction in entry fees for each of those signs sold.  For example, if a Golden Boy sells 3 signs, his team entry fee will be reduced by $70 and he will pay a $330 instead of $400.  If he sells 6 signs, his team entry fee will be $290.

Signs are to be sold for cash only. If a sponsor donates up to $100 in coupons with minimum value of $25 for each, he will be acknowledged but no sign will be displayed unless he is grandfathered with a sign from previous tournaments.  To receive credit for a sign sale, a Golden Boy may personally redeem the coupons with cash or check for $100 and submit it to the Sign Sales Manager.  The deadline for sign information and cash to be turned in to the Sign Sales Manager is May 27th to provide time for the signs to be created and placed before the first day of competition on 8 June.  Since the deadline for submission of entry forms and fees precedes this date, refunds for additional signs sold after May 1st entry fee deadline will be paid as appropriate.

Evening socials and other meals:  For all players and wives, there will be a cocktail party with sit-down buffet Monday night (cash bar) and a sit down dinner Tuesday night (cash bar during cocktail hour but free wine during dinner). There will be Breakfast for the men on Tuesday and Wednesday.  There will be a box lunch for men and lunch for lady golfers in the club house dining room on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Guest provisions and rules of play:  Qualifications for guests are the same as past years.  Your guest must be 55 or older, or be a son/son-in-law/brother/brother-in-law 21 or older. Guests cannot have a golf membership in Pebble Creek Country Club. Each two-man team will be placed in one of four flights based on USGA handicap or one computed from recent rounds played if no USGA handicap is available. Provide score, index & slope for handicap computation rounds.  The tournament will be stroke play, best ball net per hole for each team, both days.
