A trio of Golden Boys (Bond, Civilette, Sargent) were tooling along to the Keowee Key Interclub 12/12 when car trouble stopped them about 20 miles short of their destination.
A mechanic is called. Help makes it way. The car will run but it needs alternator replacement.  The tee time is about 35 minutes and 20 miles away.
Not a problem, says the owner of the 183 Automotive Inc outside of Pickens, "you three guys take my personal car (Lincoln Town Car), go play in your tournament and we'll have your car fixed by the time you get back. Hit 'm straight."
As soon as they regained their composure from such a generous offer, the Golden Boys were on their way, arriving just in time to join the fun.
